The Blue Cruise is the gateway to all the pleasures of a relaxing holiday with the special delight of being on the water.
Salmakis specially designed hand crafted gulets provide for every comfort of the modern traveller. Gulets are traditional Turkish motor sailing vessels, beautifully designed to ensure the gulet holiday is one of the most memorable available in Turkey. If you really want to have life' s little luxuries on board you must try deluxe gulets. Deluxe gulets are larger than standard gulets and generally have a more spacious saloon and cabins. They are air conditioned throughout with shower cubicles in the en suite bathrooms and hair dryers and all towels provided. The saloon is fitted with television, stereo hi-fi system and a fully stocked bar. There is plenty of space on deck for sunbathing, relaxing under awnings and eating outside. Luxury gulets are also equipped with a large deep freezer and icemaker. Each vessel has a minimum crew of three; captain, chef and steward for a safe cruise, free of chores and worries. Dishes of mouth-wateringly delicious Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine are prepared to a high standard of hygiene, presentation and taste. Luxury gulets are not only splendid sailing vessels but also excellent water sports platforms with windsurfer, dinghy, fishing and snorkelling equipment for your pleasure on board, certainly the best way of getting everything you expect from a sailing holiday. Relax on board a luxury gulet whilst the captain and crew do all the work, leaving your cares and worries behind. The choice is yours.
Life on board usually involves 2-3 hours of cruising along the coastline based on your itinerary. It is the best time to get an excellent suntan while having a long refreshing drink and chatting on the deck of the boat with sun beds spread around. While the boat moves, you will have the chance to view the incredible Turkish scenery.
Once the anchor is dropped near one of the many islands or in a panoramic bay, you can start to enjoy the many activities that are essential to a gulet cruise. You can windsurf with the breeze, or you can visit the nearby islands by canoe. On board snorkelling equipment enables you to explore a beautiful underwater world. And on board fishing equipment will enable you to try your luck with catching dinner.
The meals on board consist of a variety of delicious menus such as fresh salads, cold and hot appetizers, grilled meats, occasional fish and Turkish specialties. Apart from main meals, snacks and tea breaks are set according to your request. Meal times will depend upon cruising schedules and the wishes of all on board. Dinner on the aft deck is usually the highlight of the day; a long leisurely meal sitting under the stars, listening to the water lapping at the hull of the gulet.
The day is finished with a good night’s sleep on the sea to prepare for the new day’s activities.
